Vacation Rental House CleanerJob Overview Cozy Mountain Cabin Cleaning is a small, family-owned cleaning company serving vacation rental properties in Packwood and the surrounding area. We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented cleaner who takes pride in doing quality work. This position involves preparing vacation homes between guest stays. Unlike routine residential cleaning, each property must be completely cleaned, restocked, and ready before the next guests arrive. Cleaners must be able to follow property-specific checklists, work efficiently without sacrificing quality, and communicate promptly when damage, missing supplies, or maintenance concerns are discovered. The ideal applicant is reliable, comfortable working independently, and willing to help where needed during busy periods. Professional cleaning experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person. Most assignments are scheduled in advance. However, cleanings may occasionally be added, canceled, or changed on the same day because of last-minute reservations or changes in guest schedules. Employees must regularly check work messages and respond promptly during their stated availability. Responsibilities Clean and prepare vacation rental cabins between guest stays Clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, and other interior spaces Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors Dust and wipe furniture, fixtures, appliances, and other surfaces Wash, dry, fold, and replace linens and towels Make beds neatly according to company standards Restock guest supplies and report items that are running low Follow cleaning checklists and property-specific instructions Check properties for damage, missing items, maintenance issues, or unusual conditions Take and submit required completion photos Safely use cleaning products, equipment, and supplies Complete assigned properties within the scheduled turnover window Communicate promptly with management regarding delays, damage, or other concerns Compensation and Employment Status Employees are paid a set amount for each completed property rather than strictly by the hour. The amount paid varies depending on the size and cleaning requirements of the property. Typical effective earnings are approximately $20-$30 per hour. This is an estimated hourly equivalent, not a guaranteed hourly rate. Actual earnings vary depending on the number, size, condition, and location of the properties assigned. This is a W-2 employee position with Cozy Mountain Cabin Cleaning. It is not a 1099 independent contractor arrangement. Training time is paid. Schedule Vacation rental cleaning schedules are based on guest reservations and may vary from week to week. Most work takes place during the daytime between guest checkout and the next scheduled check-in.
