Daily Responsibilities:
Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim. Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker roomsand other work areas. Sweeps and/or vacuums floor. Dusts furniture and equipment. Polishes metalwork. Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork. Washes windows, door panels, and sills. Empties wastebaskets. Transports trash and waste to disposal area. Replenishes bathroom supplies. Transports small equipment or tools between departments. Lead Duties and Responsibilities Successfully orients and trains new hires. Communicates essential job functions to housekeepers. Manages and effectively gives directions to housekeepers on their shifts. Effectively communicates with supervisor the needs of ambulatory operations. Gives input on improvement possibilities of ambulatory facilities. Follows direction of supervisor. Projects a professional image with patients, visitors, medical staff, and guests. Represents a positive image for the department and organization. Other duties as identified. Travels between outpatient facilities and regional clinics in the Puget Sound region to support staffing shortages, leaves, and other operational needs.
Job Qualifications:
Experience in the janitorial industry a plus. Medical cleaning a plus. Post-Offer Medical, Background Screening and Drug Test required. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have reliable personal transportation available for required travel between assigned work locations and maintain a valid driver's license and legally required automobile insurance. Eligible mileage reimbursement will be provided in accordance with applicable policy.
