Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Tool Room Attendant, where you will play a vital role in maintaining an organized, efficient, and safe tool and parts management system within our manufacturing or automotive service environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to streamlined operations by managing inventory, sourcing parts, and supporting procurement processes. Your expertise will ensure that tools, automotive parts, and accessories are readily available, properly stored, and accurately tracked to support production and service excellence. Duties Manage the inventory of tools, automotive parts, and accessories using inventory management systems such as ERP or CMMS software. Source and procure parts from suppliers, negotiate pricing, and maintain supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of quality components. Oversee shipping & receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and proper storage of incoming and outgoing items. Utilize forklift and other warehouse equipment to safely handle heavy or bulky items within the storage area. Conduct regular inventory audits to maintain optimal stock levels, prevent shortages, and reduce excess stock through demand planning. Support parts administration by updating data entry records related to parts sourcing, procurement management, and internal communication. Assist with automotive diagnostics and automotive service tasks as needed to support vehicle repairs or maintenance operations. Skills Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles including procurement, sourcing, demand planning, and logistics inventory management. Proven experience with supplier management, negotiation skills, and parts sourcing strategies. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, automotive parts management, and vehicle systems for effective parts handling. Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control systems, ERP systems (such as SAP or AS400), and inventory management software. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred. Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for maintenance tracking and parts management. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry and parts administration tasks. Strong internal communication skills for collaboration across departments including procurement, logistics, sales, and customer service. Mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair processes and HVAC systems is a plus. Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
