Job Description
Make a Difference in the Lives of Our Residents! Sheboygan Senior Community is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our Environmental Services team. In this role, you will help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, families, and staff. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, works well independently and as part of a team, and understands the importance of maintaining a clean environment in a healthcare setting. Full Time 40 hrs. First Shift 7 am - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday Responsibilities Clean and sanitize resident rooms, common areas, hallways, offices, bathrooms, and other assigned areas. Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures. Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces and frequently used areas. Properly use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies according to facility procedures. Follow infection prevention and control procedures. Empty and properly dispose of waste and garbage. Clean and maintain floors, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and other floor-care duties. Clean windows, furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces as assigned. Assist with cleaning resident rooms when residents transfer, discharge, or move. Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, and supply areas in an organized manner. Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, damaged equipment, or other issues to the appropriate supervisor. Respect resident privacy, personal belongings, and confidentiality at all times. Interact with residents, families, and staff in a courteous and professional manner. Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, and infection-control requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic. Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team. Strong attention to detail. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks efficiently. Previous housekeeping experience preferred; healthcare or nursing home experience is a plus . Must be comfortable working around elderly and medically fragile residents. Must be able to safely use cleaning chemicals and housekeeping equipment. Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, with reasonable accommodations when applicable.
