Job Overview Join our vibrant team as a Public Spaces Attendant, where your energy and attention to detail will create welcoming, clean, and safe environments for all visitors and staff. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of public areas, ensuring they are inviting and well-kept. Responsibilities Perform regular cleaning and sanitation of public spaces, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents. Handle cleaning supplies and chemical agents safely by adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures. Conduct floor care activities such as vacuuming, mopping, waxing, and polishing to maintain pristine surfaces. Use janitorial equipment efficiently for tasks such as floor cleaning, dusting, window washing, and trash removal. Assist guests with inquiries or directions courteously, providing excellent customer service that enhances their experience. Follow hotel emergency procedures diligently to ensure safety during incidents or evacuations. Lift heavy cleaning equipment or supplies safely through manual handling techniques to prevent injury. Qualifications Prior custodial or janitorial experience in hospitality or hotel environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and hotel housekeeping management practices. Familiarity with cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and extractors. Ability to handle chemical agents responsibly by understanding safety data sheets (SDS) and chemical handling protocols. Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and staff alike. Physical capability for heavy lifting, manual handling, standing for extended periods, and performing repetitive cleaning tasks. Experience with hotel housekeeping management or hotel emergency procedures is a plus.
