UXU Ranch - Now Hiring Housekeepers for the 2026
Season Season:
May 10 - September 10, 2027
Location:
Shoshone National Forest, Wyoming (17 miles from Yellowstone National Park) We're looking for hardworking, dependable, detail-oriented Housekeepers who take pride in their work, enjoy taking care of guests, and understand that on a small dude ranch, everyone pitches in. Housekeeping is an important part of the UXU guest experience. Our guests come to Wyoming for the horses, mountains, Yellowstone, and Western adventure—but at the end of the day, they also expect to return to a clean, comfortable, well-cared-for cabin. If you enjoy staying busy, working with a close-knit team, and aren't afraid to jump in wherever you're needed, we'd love to talk with you. What You'll Do Cabins, Lodge & Laundry Your Primary Role — Housekeeping Your main responsibility will be helping us maintain the cleanliness, comfort, and Western hospitality our guests expect throughout their stay. Cabins are turned on Thursday/Friday (depending on which program the guests choose). They are not cleaned daily, unless requested by the guest. Cabins, Lodge & Laundry Clean and maintain approximately 10 historic guest cabins and the Main Lodge Provide housekeeping service for occupied cabins (see above) Make beds, change linens, and restock towels and guest amenities Vacuum, dust, mop, sanitize, and clean windows as needed Maintain lodge bathrooms and shared guest areas Keep the laundry room clean, organized, and running efficiently Wash, dry, fold, organize, and rotate linens and towels Assist with cleaning designated areas of the kitchen Monitor housekeeping supplies and coordinate reordering through the front desk Report maintenance, damage, or safety concerns promptly Help keep the ranch looking welcoming, cared for, and ready for our guests Assist with dining room setup, serving, bussing, or cleanup on all meals Team Support Help in other departments as required Pitch in wherever needed — ranch life is a team effort The attitude we're looking for is simple: if something needs doing, we work together and get it done.
Schedule Seasonal position:
May 10 - September 10, 2026 Typically, a 6-day workweek Weekend and holiday work may be required Long, active days in a fast-paced ranch environment Compensation & Perks Wages based on experience Room & board included Tips Horseback Riding (subject to availability) Complimentary staff trips (subject to availability): Yellowstone National Park White Water Rafting Cody Night Rodeo Fishing & Hiking Western clothing discounts No commuting — live and work on-site What We're Looking For Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience is helpful, but work ethic, reliability, attitude, and attention to detail matter just as much.

Dependable and ready to work Detail-oriented and proud of a job well done Comfortable working independently without constant supervision A strong team player Friendly and respectful around guests and coworkers Physically capable of an active job involving lifting, bending, stairs, laundry, and being on your feet throughout the day Comfortable with a fast-paced environment and changing priorities Willing to work weekends and holidays as needed Willing to help outside your primary department when the ranch needs an extra hand No Smoking or Pets This is ranch life.
