Summary/Objective To support a wide variety of task-oriented fulfilment activities, generally related to all aspects of the continuity of supply to the business and our customers. Assist with managing the cleaning, sorting, and packaging of various produce products, by planning and organizing available resources to ensure orders are completed to specifications. Supervising operations teams and recommending strategies for process improvement. What We Offer Direct Hire (Not Temp. Ensure they and the team follow established food and employee safety guidelines as well as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Ensure they and the team follow established sanitation processes for employees and work areas. Organize and supervise the packing line team and their areas. Provide training and feedback, as necessary. Manage teams' attendance and ensure compliance with meal and rest break policies. Ensure teams are efficient and activity is always balanced, coordinating alternate work when tasks are done or release team members in a timely manner. Communicate sorting and packing requirements/standards for each order to the team and ensure adherence to these. Pull and pick product for the packing line, ensure pallet IDs are recorded on pick ticket, as well as the number of boxes used. Leads are responsible for accounting for the inventory they pull, process, and generate. Ensure all Wip in & Wip Out is completed for each job in Prophet (ERP system). Resolve and escalate production issues as appropriate; Communicate all issues to the Production Manager. Ensure quality checks are in line with product specifications. Coordinate quality standards with members of the QC department. Ensure product #2's are separated and returned to inventory physically and in ERP system. Dispose of all rotten produce in the correct containers. Return unused products to inventory and validate location and quantity in Prophet (ERP). Remove all unneeded containers (plastic/cardboard/pallet) from production areas and place these in the designated area(s). Supervisory Responsibility This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsible for assisting with the direction, coordination, and evaluation of the production facility while on shift. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; assisting with appraising performance and addressing performance concerns; addressing complaints and resolving problems as they arise. Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are dependent on operational needs and may vary, Monday through Sunday, 12:01 a.m. to midnight. The employee is required to be available as scheduled and may be required to be available for extended hours. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. No travel is expected for this position. Required Education and Experience A high school diploma or its equivalent. Position experience may be substituted to meet the educational requirements using a 2:1 ratio where 2 years' experience equals 1-year education.
