Essential Functions Pay Rate:
$20.00 per hour (Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am). Performed indoors in a poultry processing/packaging environment. Temperature levels will vary depending on where in the facility the worker is stationed. Some work is performed in. Large refrigerators or freezers and the temperature is much lower in these areas. Due to the use water during the sanitation of equipment and processing operations the humidity and overall moisture levels are high in most indoor processing areas. All workers are required to wear the appropriate PPE needed to perform the duties of their respective position. This may include but is not limited to bump caps, hairnets, rubber boots, ear protection, protective gloves, and eye protection. Tools used in this position will vary depending on the placement of the worker. Regular, dependable attendance is an essential function of this position. Qualifications Most positions require standing eight (8) hours or more on a concrete floor. Must be able to perform rapid and repetitive movement and grasping of the hand. Must be able to work in a cold, damp environment. Many positions required lifting up to 85 pounds on a frequent basis. Must be able to push/pull up to 85 pounds. Some positions require repeated bending and stooping. Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background check.
