The candidate must be willing to work nights and weekends; in addition to having a flexible schedule.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

1. At least two years of retail experience and one year experience in purchasing, merchandising and selling supplements. 2. Knowledge of interest in and personal use of the products. 3. Formal education or training in natural health, nutrition and/or healing preferred. 4. Ability to learn and retain information and knowledge about the products, each product has its own story, its features, benefits, and uses. 5. Willingness to promote Down to Earth's vegetarian product standards, and to not advise people to take supplements containing nonvegetarian ingredients. 6. Is positive and enthusiastic, friendly, courteous manner in dealing with a variety of situations and personalities. 7. Good organizational skills as well as an ability to motivate and communicate effectively with staff. 8. Ability to read, write, and speak English well and use word processing software and spreadsheets for simple tasks. 9. Able to regularly safely lift a minimum of 30 pounds.

Starting pay: DOE, Salaried position, 9 hour days with 1/2 hour lunch break.
