The Fresh Market Lead assists with the day-to-day operations of the Fresh departments, including Butcher, Fish, Salumi & Formaggi, Produce, and Fresh Pasta, ensuring quality control and optimal team performance. Reports to the Fresh Market Manager.
Supervises, trains and motivates the team to increase sales and efficiencyMaintains stock levels and makes key decisions about stock control in partnership with the Fresh Market Manager, placing orders as neededCommunicates with the main production kitchen and restaurants to ensure that all orders are fulfilledAssists with the management of the production schedule to achieve maximum efficiencyEnsures Fresh counters and displays are visually appealing and merchandized effectively Communicates any technical or mechanical issues to the appropriate departmentAssists guests with product selection and shares knowledge of productsWeighs, labels and packages products and completes food preparation in a timely mannerAnalyzes financial data and takes actions to improve efficiency and profitability of the departmentSupports with monthly inventory countsEnsures department consistently meets quality, health and safety standardsPerforms other duties as required or assignedQualifications2+ years of retail supervisory experienceExperience with cured meats, artisan cheeses, butchering and fish mongering is strongly preferredExcellent communication, time management and relationship-building skillsFinancial analysis skills are considered an assetBachelors Degree preferredProficiency in Microsoft OfficeJob RequirementsAvailability to work onsite with a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidaysAbility to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squattingCompensationCompensation for this role is USD $22-$24.50 hourlyThis position has been posted to fill a current vacancyAdditional InformationBenefits and PerksMedical, Dental, Vision InsurancePaid Time OffPaid Parental Leave401K with matchFree family meal dailyDiscounts at EatalyClasses on products and Italian cuisineReferral bonus programand more!
