Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Seafood Processing Helper/Cutter and become a vital part of our food processing and retail operation! In this energetic role, you will assist with the preparation, trimming, and packaging of fresh fish to ensure high-quality products reach our customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food handling, butchery, and seafood processing within a fast-paced environment. Your attention to detail and commitment to food safety will help us deliver exceptional quality every day.
Compensation No Experience:
$21-$24 per hour
Experienced:
$28-32 per hour Responsibilities Assist with cleaning, filleting, trimming, and slicing fish using proper knife skills and cutting techniques Operate meat processing machines safely and efficiently for fish preparation and packaging Conduct visual inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to food safety standards Package fish products accurately, labeling them according to specifications and safety guidelines Follow sanitizing procedures to maintain a clean, safe work environment in compliance with food safety management practices Manage perishable goods carefully, ensuring proper storage and handling of fresh seafood Supports in maintaining inventory records. Previous experience in food production, food preparation, or retail store environments is preferred Knowledge of meat cutting, slicing techniques, and butchery practices related to fish processing Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and visual inspection for quality control Ability to operate food industry equipment such as meat processing machines safely Basic math skills for accurate portioning, weighing, and labeling of products Strong knife skills and experience with fish handling or meat preparation are highly desirable Excellent attention to detail, cleanliness, and adherence to food safety standards are essential for success in this role unload products, containers and stock them in the designated areas Records the number of item received and distributed Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Requirement:
Work Ethics- A sense of urgency in meeting critical and time sensitive deadlines Billingual (English/Spanish) candidates are preferred physical demand : Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy loads.
