Job Description
Description The Foodservice Worker will prepare and cook large batches of food that will be served to employees. Role and Responsibilities
- Clean, cut, prepare, and cook meat, fish, or poultry to a safe temperature.
- Prepare and cook various items according to menus, or number of portions to be served.
- Bakes breads, rolls, and pastries.
- Distributes and serves food to employees.
- Washes cooking equipment, such as pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and other pieces.
- Performs other duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities
- This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Requirements Preferred Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic understanding of, or ability to learn, basic sanitation and regulations for workplace safety.
- Basic understanding of, or ability to learn, food handling techniques, preparation, and cooking procedures.
- 1+ years of related café/kitchen experience Core Competencies, Knowledge, and Skill Requirements Candidates should be self-starters with a strong work ethic and the ability to prioritize their workload to ensure timely issue resolution. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.Food Production:
Knowledge of techniques and equipment for planting, growing, and harvesting food products (both plant and animal) for consumption, including storage/handling techniques.Organization :
Organize and prioritize your own actions efficiently. Be flexible and react favorably to multiple priorities, changing schedules and daily assignments while paying attention to detail. Work Environment and Physical Requirements The work environment is a cafe setting and occasionally a freezer to retrieve supplies. This position requires the team member to:- Frequently required to stand for an extended period of time
- Use hands to finger, handle, feel, and talk or hear.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance, vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when near the production area.
