Description:
The Seafood Clerk at Cosentino's Price Chopper #249 is expected to provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a clean and organized seafood department. This role requires a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation, effective communication, and the ability to work as part of a team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess a positive attitude, and be willing to learn about seafood preparation and merchandising.
Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their seafood selections. Prepare and package seafood items according to company standards, demonstrating proficiency in food preparation techniques. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines. Merchandise seafood displays to maximize sales and appeal to customers. Follow all company policies and procedures related to food handling and safety. Demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and expand knowledge of seafood products. Assist with general store operations as needed, including maintaining cleanliness throughout the store.
Minimum Qualifications:
Working knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. General knowledge of customer service principles. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Effective communication skills. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in a food service environment. Familiarity with seafood products and preparation techniques. High school diploma or equivalent.
