makes our ramen noodles in-house almost every day, using an expensive Japanese noodle machine imported directly from Japan. We are looking for someone reliable, detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working independently to join our team as a Noodle Maker . You do NOT need previous restaurant experience. We will train you. PEOPLE PERSON.

" This is one of the most independent positions in our restaurant. After you are trained, you will spend most of your time in our noodle room making fresh ramen noodles. There is little to no customer interaction. The work is repetitive, focused, and surprisingly peaceful. Think of it as a "zen" job. You will have a process to follow, but you will also need to pay attention to what the dough and machine are doing and make small adjustments when necessary. If you like working independently, listening to music or podcasts, and getting into a rhythm while you work, this could be a great fit. ___________________________________________________

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Measure and portion flour, water, and salt according to our recipes Operate our Japanese ramen noodle-making machine Feed ingredients into the machine and monitor the mixing process Handle and move large pieces of dough Feed dough through the machine carefully and consistently Manage dough sheets and rollers as the dough is processed Lift and move large dough sheets/spools onto racks to rest Monitor the machine throughout the production process Run dough through the cutting and dusting portion of the machine Fold and neatly portion freshly cut noodles Maintain consistent noodle quality, size, and portion Keep the noodle room clean, organized, and sanitary Clean, maintain, and properly oil the noodle machine after use Troubleshoot minor problems and recognize when something needs attention Follow food safety and sanitation procedures Work independently while maintaining a high standard of quality ___________________________________________________

THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST PEACEFUL JOBS IN OUR RESTAURANT.

The Noodle Maker position is approximately: 3 shifts per week About 6 hours per shift , including setup and cleanup Approximately 18-20 hours per week Flexible scheduling You will have substantial input on which days and times you work Your schedule can change from week to week when needed You must work while a manager is present Noodle production can take place during our normal operating hours, generally 11 AM-11 PM We are looking for someone who wants a consistent part-time position but appreciates having some flexibility in their schedule. Because this position has very little customer interaction, English proficiency is not a requirement, BUT we do need to be able to communicate with each other.

YOU'LL BE WORKING WITH A VERY UNIQUE MACHINE.

Our ramen noodle machine was imported from Japan and does much of the heavy lifting, but it still requires a person who understands how to work with it.

You will learn how to:

Mix the dough Feed dough into the machine Work with the dough sheets Manage the rollers Set and monitor the machine Handle the finished noodle sheets Cut and dust the noodles Portion and organize the finished noodles Clean, oil, and maintain the machine You don't need to know how to operate the machine before you start. THE PHYSICAL SIDE OF THE JOB

This is a hands-on production job.

You must be able to:

Lift and carry 50-pound bags of flour Lift and move large dough sheets/spools Stand for extended periods Bend, reach, lift, and move repeatedly throughout a shift Work with your hands for extended periods Perform repetitive motions Move safely and comfortably around a small production space Maintain good coordination and attention to detail You don't have to be exceptionally strong, but you need to be comfortable doing physical work. ___________________________________________________

At NOODLEPIG, we don't believe in separating the restaurant into "front of house" and "back of house." We operate as one house, one sound, one harmony. Everyone participates in our universal tip pool because every position contributes to the guest experience. Think of it like a rock band: The lead singer might get most of the attention, but if the drummer, bassist, or guitarist isn't doing their job, the audience notices.

Our starting pay is:

$13/hour + tips Our current average tips are approximately $5/hour , meaning employees are currently averaging around $18+/hour total compensation . As you become more proficient and demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude, there are opportunities to advance your pay.
