$15.00 - $25.00 per hour Job description: About Us At Kalamazoo Kettle Corn, we have been crafting gourmet popcorn since 2004. As a family-owned small business, we take pride in producing high-quality popcorn flavors while maintaining a clean, positive, and team-oriented workplace. We are looking for a dependable and motivated production cook to join our growing team. This is a hands-on role with opportunities for long-term growth into production leadership and operations management. Position Overview The Gourmet Popcorn Production Cook is responsible for popping popcorn, preparing and cooking our gourmet flavor line, maintaining production quality standards, and ensuring all cleaning and sanitization procedures are followed. Cleanliness and food safety are our top priorities. We are looking for someone who takes pride in organization, consistency, and attention to detail. This role is also a great fit for someone with creativity and passion for food. We welcome team members who enjoy experimenting with new flavor ideas and helping develop future products. Responsibilities Pop popcorn batches according to company standards Prepare and cook gourmet popcorn flavors consistently and efficiently Mix, season, and finish products accurately Maintain a clean and sanitary production environment at all times Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of equipment, utensils, and workspaces Follow food safety and production procedures Assist with packaging and production flow Help monitor ingredient and supply levels Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Contribute ideas for new popcorn flavors and product development Support production scheduling and operations as the company grows Qualifications Reliable with strong attendance and work ethic Strong attention to detail and cleanliness Ability to follow recipes and production procedures Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting ingredients/products as needed Positive attitude and willingness to learn Ability to work independently and as part of a team Kitchen, food production, cooking, or manufacturing experience is helpful but not required Growth Opportunity We are looking for someone who wants to grow with our company long-term.
