Production Manager - Cannabis Operation

Job Description

Afternoon Delite is an award-winning cannabis brand focused on producing high-quality, consistent products and creating the moments people look forward to. We are expanding into the Missouri market and are looking for a dependable, organized, and hands-on Production Manager to oversee daily production activities and help keep our operation running efficiently, accurately, and compliantly. In this role, you will work closely with the production team, manage daily workflow and priorities, maintain accurate inventory and production data, uphold quality standards, assist with team onboarding and training, and ensure established SOPs are consistently followed. We are seeking a hands-on leader who can effectively manage a team, stay organized, work with production data and systems, maintain compliance, and balance competing priorities within a fast-paced cannabis production facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage day-to-day production tasks and ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule. Establish and communicate daily production priorities, assignments, and expectations to the production team. Monitor work in progress, follow up on assigned tasks, and adjust priorities as needed to keep production on track. Direct, support, and train production team members and hold the team accountable for following established procedures and meeting expectations. Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure the production team follows them consistently. Maintain product quality standards throughout production and packaging and identify and address quality issues before products move forward. Maintain accurate production records and document production activity, quantities, yields, material usage, inventory movement, and other required information. Process, organize, review, and maintain production data using company computer systems and software. Maintain accurate cannabis inventory and production tracking within METRC and applicable internal systems. Reconcile physical inventory against METRC and internal production records and identify and investigate discrepancies. Monitor production materials and supply needs and communicate shortages before they impact production. Identify production issues, bottlenecks, or delays, communicate them quickly, and take ownership of resolving day-to-day operational problems. Maintain a clean, organized production environment and help ensure applicable Missouri cannabis requirements and company standards are consistently followed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Production management experience; cannabis production experience is nice to have. Previous experience supervising or managing a team. Working knowledge of METRC. Candidates do not need to be METRC experts but must understand the system and be comfortable working within it. Ability to manage multiple production tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to follow established SOPs and ensure procedures are consistently followed by the production team. Strong organizational, documentation, and recordkeeping skills. Comfortable processing and reviewing production data, quantities, inventory information, and other operational metrics. Comfortable using computers and learning the software and systems used to manage production and inventory. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors, discrepancies, or inconsistencies. Organized, dependable, proactive, and able to follow responsibilities through to completion. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly regulated cannabis manufacturing environment.

Missouri All applicants must be at least 21 years of age and must obtain and maintain a valid Missouri Facility Agent ID card as required by the Missouri Division of Cannabis Regulation. The application process currently includes fingerprint submission for a state and federal criminal-history background check. Afternoon Delite will reimburse the cost of the required Facility Agent ID application and fingerprinting for employees who remain employed with the company for at least 30 days.
Pay:
$23.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
