Job Description

PDRecipe Coordinator plays a pivotal role in product development and management, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. Reporting to the PurchasingPlanning Manager, this role encompasses various responsibilities, from new product development and recipe management to label compliance and packaging coordination. The PDRecipe Coordinator ensures seamless processes, accurate documentation, and compliance with regulatory requirements, contributing to the success of Louisa Food Products. Hours for this position are Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm with some flexibility. Collaborate on new product ideas with Sales Team or Test Kitchen for concept recipes. Engage with Purchasing and Production during development to address potential issues. Input recipes into the Genesis recipe management system. Create sample labels when sending products to potential customers. Coordinate and schedule production tests, along with preparing the necessary test paperwork. Attend tests, assess production line performance, equipment needs, record weights for Finished Goods profile, and document test outcomes and required adjustments. Maintain organized records of Test Kitchen and Production test recipes and notes. Prepare all paperwork for full-scale production, including scaling up recipes, providing instructions, and generating production verification documentation. Assist in creating specification sheets for National Accounts and handling supplier paperwork. Enter data into the Global Data network for suppliers. Create accurate labels and packaging with Ingredient Statement, Nutrition Facts, Net Weight, and, if applicable, USDA information. After production, review products, assess any day-of-production adjustments, and update weights, recipes, or instructions for subsequent production runs. Periodically evaluate product weights for accuracy and make necessary updates. Update all production paperwork related to recipe changes from Production or Test Kitchen. Conduct annual reviews of labels and specification sheets. Update retail packaging information and ensure accuracy. Update product labels and communicate new labels with Production. Familiarize yourself with USDA and FDA label regulation requirements. Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned in response to changing business conditions and/or requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree, preferred Experience in the development and successful launch products, and/or recipe management with 2+ years of experience. High level of self-motivation, with strong integrityethics. Excellent organization and analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with flexibility and openness to changing priorities.
