Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for day to day hatchery functions to ensure quality performance resulting in superior quality birds delivered to our growers. The goal of the Hatcher Puller is to pull the carts of chicks from the hatchers to the separator room. Ensure breeder flock changes are done correctly. Notify the lead, management, or maintenance of any process problems.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Pull the cart of chicks from the hatchers and push them to the separator room. 2. Ensure flock changes are done correctly. 3. Ensure chicks are comfortable in the waiting area. 4. Wash and clean equipment at the end of each shift. 5. All other duties assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILS & ABILITIES 1.
Knowledge of Company policy and procedures. 2. Skill in managing and prioritizing multiple priorities. 3. Ability to handle eggs and chicks with caution. 4. Ability to be a good representative of the Company. 5. Ability to work in a team environment. 6. Ability to lift up to 50lbs and push 1,000 lbs. 7. Ability to walk and stand for duration of the shift. 8. Ability to use both hands. 9. Ability to bend, twist, push, pull, and reach. 10. Ability to work in fast paced environment and under pressure. 11. Ability to perform tasks with limited supervision. 12. Ability to climb stairs. 13. Ability to pass a functions test.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or its equivalent required. This position requires that you cannot own or have any contact with animals with feathers, other than those owned by Lincoln Premium Poultry, during your employment with
