We are seeking a reliable and motivated Lead Post-Production Technician to assist overseeing daily operations on our processing team. This role is essential for guiding team members and maintaining efficiency while ensuring the highest standards of quality in processing and packaging are met. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader who fosters a productive, compliant, and positive work environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day guidance to the processing team, ensuring workflow goals are met and productivity targets are achieved Monitor all processing phases, including trimming, curing, and final packaging, to ensure compliance with state and local regulations Coordinate team activities for processing tasks such as grinding, pre-roll production, and material preparation Conduct ongoing quality checks throughout the production cycle, identifying issues and implementing corrective actions promptly Ensure all team members correctly utilize and maintain trimming equipment and processing machinery for optimal safety and performance Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment, enforcing company safety and product integrity standards Collaborate with the management team to optimize workflows and coordinate production schedules Oversee the documentation of production metrics, quality control logs, and equipment maintenance records Enforce strict compliance protocols and assist in training new staff members on operational procedures Provide direction for accurately sorting, weighing, packaging, and labeling products Enforcing strict adherence to state regulatory frameworks, batch separation protocols, and facility sanitation standards Supervising daily shift operations, training post-harvest technicians and trim specialists, tracking attendance, and ensuring production quotas are met safely and efficiently Maintain product logs, manage supply stock, and coordinate sample testing
Required Experience:
At least 2 years of as a production technician on a fast-paced cannabis line At least 1 year of leadership/supervisory experience on a post-production team Demonstrated ability to lead small teams in an operational setting Ability to handle delicate plant material and products with precision Knowledge of curing, trimming, processing, and large-scale packaging workflows Knowledge of METRC and Dutchie systems Passion for cultivating and processing high-quality cannabis products
Skills:
Proven ability to focus a team on coordination and process improvement Strong attention to detail and ability to handle tasks with high-level precision Proficiency with hand tools and automated equipment Basic math skills for production measurements, yield calculations, and inventory tracking Effective communication skills to delegate tasks and collaborate across departments
