About the Role Greater Purpose is a state-licensed, regulated consumer products manufacturer in South Plainfield, NJ. We produce and package finished goods for a portfolio of national and regional brands under strict state compliance rules. This is a precision production job, not a warehouse job. Every unit we ship is weighed, labeled, logged in a seed-to-sale inventory system, and audited. We are hiring a Packaging Technician to work on our production floor. You will be part of a small, experienced team that takes accuracy and documentation seriously. What You'll Do Package finished products (flower, pre-rolls, vaporizer cartridges, edibles, beverages) according to written SOPs and brand specifications Weigh, count, and verify product to exact tolerances; record results on batch records Apply and verify compliance labels — every label is checked against the batch's Certificate of Analysis and state labeling requirements before release Tag and reconcile packages in METRC (seed-to-sale inventory system); flag and report any discrepancy immediately Maintain clean room hygiene and sanitation standards; follow gowning and workstation cleaning procedures Perform in-process quality checks and document deviations Meet daily production targets without sacrificing accuracy Assist with material staging, inventory counts, and workflow improvements What We're Looking For Prior experience in a regulated production environment: state-licensed cannabis manufacturing, cultivation or dispensary operations; pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, cosmetics, food or beverage manufacturing; or medical device / clean room work Experience with METRC, BioTrack, or another seed-to-sale or lot-tracking inventory system is strongly preferred Comfortable working from written SOPs, batch records, and specification sheets Strong attention to detail — you catch the wrong label, the wrong weight, the wrong count before it ships Reliable and punctual; the line depends on every position being filled at 9am Able to stand for the full shift and lift up to 50 lbs High school diploma or GED Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older Must be able to obtain and maintain a NJ CRC Cannabis Business Identification Card (we sponsor the application) Authorized to work in the United States Zero-tolerance policy on product diversion and on-site impairment; this is a compliance-audited facility What We Offer $20 - $22 per hour based on relevant experience Consistent schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, no weekends Paid holidays Small, direct, professional team; your work is visible and your input on process is heard Growth path into lead technician, QC, or inventory/compliance roles as we expand
