Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Meat Operations Manager to oversee our meat production facility. This role is responsible for ensuring high-quality production, maintaining food safety standards, managing team performance, and driving operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has strong leadership abilities, hands-on experience in meat processing, and a deep understanding of
USDA/HACCP
regulations. Key Responsibilities Lead daily meat processing, portioning, packaging, and distribution operations Maintain product quality, yield standards, and consistent production output Ensure full compliance and reporting with HACCP, USDA, FSIS, and SSOP Train, mentor, and supervise production staff and butchers Develop and manage production schedules based on demand Control waste, track yields, and monitor inventory levels Enforce SSOP, safe handling, and equipment operation protocols Maintain accurate production records and compliance documentation Collaborate with ownership and vendors for procurement to maintain steady raw material supply Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and cost savings Develop facilities and equipment maintenance schedules Qualifications Minimum of 2 years' experience in meat processing or food production Track record of proven supervisory/management experience Certification for USDA, HACCP, and FSIS Ability to lead and train staff in a fast-paced environment Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills Experience working with production equipment and yield management HS Diploma or equivalent Basic computer skills and working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and other programs Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed Ability to stand for long periods Ability to work in cold environments Benefits- Annual salary range $55,000 - $75,000
