Job Description

PMMA Batch Tender The PMMA Batch Tender compounds and packages all PMMA resin products. This position will receive and store raw materials, prepare packaging for finished products, weigh out raw materials according to batch tickets, operate the mixing process, and fill containers with finished product. The operator will fulfill these duties abiding by established work procedures, safety and PPE requirements. This includes the completion of associated paperwork and collection of samples to comply with the Quality System. The Batch Tender is also responsible for maintaining housekeeping standards, 5S improvements, and other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Ensure the correct operation and productivity of the mixers and entire set of ancillary equipment Ensure that the production schedule is followed Prepare raw materials for each manufacturing order Perform starts and stops of production equipment as required Prepare blends correctly and in a timely manner Advise the production work team to ensure production delays are respected Package finished product according to packaging instruction correctly and in a timely manner Store raw materials and finished good keeping warehouse area neat and accessible creating safe working environment Inspect equipment for cleanliness after each cleaning procedure Constantly monitor product characteristics to ensure conformance to product specifications Perform analytical testing such as specific gravity and viscosity measurement Constantly monitor process characteristics (mixer temperature, order of addition, processing times, etc.) to ensure conformance to process specifications Ensure correct operation and optimal performance of the mixing process Constantly monitor the use of different raw materials and intervenes when necessary to ensure proper adherence to manufacturing standards Advise Production Manager of any problems encountered during production such as product quality issues Verify his/her team's vacation and coverage and communicate needs to the Production Manager Note deviations in mixing parameters and notifies Production Manager Recommend to Production Manager any modification to machines that would improve work organization and productivity Advise Maintenance Manager of all major breakdowns of the machine and verifies repairs are performed Recommend to Maintenance Manager required repairs and suggests preventive maintenance work or inspections Rotate positions within PMMA plant production department as needed Adhere to the Company's policies and supporting Management decisions and goals in a positive, professional manner Follow

procedures to include accurately reporting results for production quality Notify supervisor or quality personnel any non-conformances relating to the quality management system Follow production procedures closely and understands that his/her actions affects the process and product quality and safety Comply with and refer to the EHS Matrix for general responsibilities regarding the EHS program Wear respirators as needed Notify supervisor or environmental / safety coordinator/ or quality manager any incidents that adversely affect (or have the potential to affect) the QEHS management system Inspect forklift daily before use and inform supervisor or Maintenance department any malfunction or need for repair Maintain all work areas clean, tidy and safe Comply with PPE requirements at all times Performs all work requested by supervisor
Minimum Qualifications:
High school Diploma or GED. Forklift operation Computer literate Ability to lead a team and be a team player Ability to communicate in a concise and clear manner Ability to use analytical lab equipment accurately (scale, viscometer, density cup) Possesses a work ethic that includes cooperation, collaboration, timeliness and can do attitude Recognizes colors, not color-blind Working Conditions and/or
Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods standing and walking Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds at times Must be able to wear a respirator Periodically work in temperatures above 85°F Periodically work outdoors year-round to unload bulk tanker trucks Reports to the Production Supervisor. #WAD123
