The Flower Bucking Technician is responsible for preparing harvested cannabis plants for the trimming process by removing buds from stems and organizing flower for production. This role is a key part of the post harvest workflow and directly supports trim team efficiency and product quality. Bucking cannabis flower is a detail oriented and physically active role that requires consistency, focus, and care when handling plant material. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and able to maintain quality while working efficiently in a production environment. This position requires strong hand dexterity, the ability to work with repetitive motions, and a positive attitude while working closely with the production and trim teams. Responsibilities Remove cannabis buds from stems while preserving flower quality Prepare and organize flower for the trim team to ensure efficient workflow Identify and separate usable flower from stems and waste material Maintain consistent quality and production speed throughout the workday Track daily production totals and complete required reporting Maintain a clean and organized workstation Follow all company procedures and OLCC compliance requirements Handle cannabis product carefully to prevent damage or loss Hanging and organizing plants into Dry rooms Taking down and toting dry plants from Dry rooms Assist with additional post harvest tasks such as weighing, sorting, and packaging as needed Production Expectations Maintain consistent bucking speed while preserving flower quality Work collaboratively with trim team members to maintain production flow Meet daily production goals as established by management Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time Ability to perform repetitive hand motions for extended periods Strong hand strength and dexterity Ability to work efficiently with harvested plant material Qualifications Current OLCC Marijuana Worker Permit required Reliable transportation Consistent attendance and punctuality Strong organizational skills Ability to follow instructions and accept feedback Ability to work in a fast paced production environment Positive attitude and strong work ethic Preferred Experience Cannabis industry experience Harvest, trim, or post harvest production experience Experience bucking cannabis flower Production or packaging experience Experience is not required but is considered a plus.
