Job Description:
We are a Family-Owned and Operated, Full Service Retail Grocery Store searching for a Produce Packager for our rapidly growing business. The Produce Packager will establish standards of quality, productivity, food safety and employee safety. This associate is responsible for the safe use of equipment, raw materials, execution of the daily production schedule, and oversees bulk product inventory levels to assure the adequate supply of quality product.
Compensation/Salary:
$16.00 -$18.00 Minimum of one year of experience in fresh cut production environment Extensive knowledge of process controls, product flow, inventory control, quality assurance protocols, equipment optimization and supply chain management. Ability to promote & communicate to management all critical production data Strong process improvement background and change management skills. Direct experience with production, procurement and product ordering Excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Ensures adherence to all company standards regarding product quality and food safety practices Maintains the production schedules required to support planned production. Monitors raw material and packaging inventories to ensure adequate supply and freshness (rotation) to support production requirements. Identifies opportunities for enhanced cost reduction, yield optimization, operational safety, and quality improvements. Maintains a visible presence on the sales floor to monitor customer flow and provide technical guidance during all production and sanitation phases.
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hour
