About Hedgehog Hedgehog Foods, Inc. is a producer of organic specialty mushrooms. At our farm in Beechgrove, Tennessee, we grow rare and delicious mushroom species and distribute them to customers throughout the United States. Role Description We are seeking full-time workers to join our Beechgrove Farm team and help on all sides of our operation. This will include packing orders for our growing customer base, mixing substrate used for mushroom production, inoculating substrate, setting up mushroom growing rooms, and harvesting mushrooms. Primarily, we are looking for enthusiastic workers to join the Fulfillment department of our company. This team member will work under the direction of our Farm Manager and Operations Manager.

Additional details:

Typical working hours are 7am-3:30pm or 10am-6:30pm, with a 30 minute lunch break. We are also seeking applicants who are able to work Saturday and Sundays. Future flexibility with hours for a staggered shift is a plus. All work will occur on-site at our farm in Beechgrove, TN. Applicants should be able to commute to the farm consistently on weekdays and weekends. Order packing occurs in a temperature-controlled cold environment. Applicants should be willing to work full shifts in cold conditions. Qualifications Physically capable, able to lift 50lb consistently Hard-working and excited about mushroom farming/agricultural operations Experience operating forklifts and other heavy machinery is a plus Experience working with food safety protocols is a plus Experience interacting with spreadsheets on a basic level is a plus Characteristics - do you describe yourself as: Interested and/or excited about working with specialty mushrooms Organized and detail-oriented Having a sense of urgency to get things done A proactive and effective communicator Excited by the idea of working for a fast-growing company
