This energetic position involves working on an assembly line to prepare meat for distribution, adhering to strict food safety and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Operate packaging machinery and equipment in accordance with manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols. Ensure meat products are properly cut, portioned, and packaged according to food safety standards such as HACCP and USDA regulations. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas following GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and OSHA guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Use knife skills and meat cutting techniques accurately to prepare products for packaging while minimizing waste. Follow all safety protocols including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times during production. Conduct quality checks on packaged products to verify weight, appearance, and labeling accuracy. Assist in maintaining compliance with regulatory/legal standards in food production and packaging processes. Experience Prior experience in food processing plants or meat product production is highly preferred. Assembly line experience within a manufacturing or food industry setting is advantageous. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards, sanitation procedures, and HACCP food safety management systems is essential. Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and verifying product quantities accurately. Familiarity with USDA regulations related to meat processing and packaging is a plus. Hands-on experience with knife skills, meat cutting techniques, or butchery will be beneficial. Demonstrated ability to follow manufacturing SOPs, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance standards in a fast-paced environment. Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
