Located in Salt Lake City, we are committed to providing thoughtfully packaged gifts that combine elegance and personalization, serving customers nationwide through catalog and online sales. Job Purpose The Crates Line Associate is a core member of the warehouse and production team, responsible for the efficient, accurate, and high-quality handling of products. Based on business needs, this position may be assigned primarily to either the Crates or Active Pick area and will be cross-trained to support both departments. Responsibilities may include picking and staging inventory, preparing orders for production, tracking inventory, verifying product quality, and maintaining an organized workflow. This position works closely with the Crates Team Lead, Supervisor, and other departments to support timely order fulfillment. Core Associates must be adaptable, actively engaged, and comfortable leading others. From October through December, they are required to work swing shift and serve as Seasonal Leads by training employees, giving clear direction, monitoring work quality, and helping the team meet daily production goals. Duties Pull and stage warehouse items to accurately fulfill customer orders. Ensure product quality and order accuracy before transferring items to the next production stage. Assist with inventory tracking and maintain an organized work area. Maintain quality standards and production efficiency. Follow company procedures and identify process improvements. Train and support seasonal employees while working collaboratively to meet production goals. Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Report safety concerns, equipment issues, or product defects to leadership. Must be available to work swing shift (typically 4:00 p.m.-12:00 a.m.) from September through December. Serve as a Seasonal Lead by training, supporting, and directing seasonal employees. Monitor workflow, productivity, order accuracy, quality, and safety compliance. Qualifications Demonstrate a strong understanding of company core values, a solid work ethic, and a commitment to teamwork and professionalism. Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately to ensure quality and efficiency in daily tasks. Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize workload in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and leadership. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle stressful situations with professionalism and composure. Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and ensuring accuracy in all tasks. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift up to 30 pounds regularly as required by the role. Must remain engaged, take initiative, and be comfortable leading a team, giving clear direction, providing feedback, and holding seasonal employees accountable during peak season. Working Conditions & Physical Requirements Fast-paced warehouse environment with exposure to packaging materials, warehouse equipment, refrigerated areas, and moving machinery. Requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 30 lbs. throughout the shift. Frequent use of warehouse tools and equipment. Peak season (October-December) requires flexibility in a high-volume production environment.
