Summary :
The Seafood Processor L48 - Tier 3 is a key person working under the Production Lead . This person plays a crucial role in supporting the lead in overseeing and coordinating the production line activities . The position involves assisting in supervising the processing team, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and maintaining smooth workflow . The Tier 3 person also helps in training new employees, monitoring productivity, and addressing any operational challenges . Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions are vital for the success in this role.
Essential Functions:
Receives and answers questions from workers pertaining to production processes or equipment operation Aids in training new incoming employees or employees from a temporary staffing agency. Notifies maintenance workers of equipment malfunctions Acts as a back-up in the absence of the Production Lead. Facilitates the allocation of employees to specific positions on the production lines. Provides support in completing HACCP documentation and generating reports. Monitoring productivity and a smooth workflow on the production line. Undertake crucial responsibilities as a key person on production line. Cleans, scrapes, trims, and fillets product. Discards and culls inferior or defective items and foreign matter. Skillfully fillets for finishing seafood products into predetermined sizes. Works with precision knives and tools to meet product specifications. Accurately weighs and sorts fish according to product or customer specifications. Attentive to minimizing waste and achieving consistent results. Labels and packages seafood according to product guidelines. Reviews workspace for cleanliness and safety. Tasks and assignments must always be performed in a safe manner. Performs Tier 2 functions at a higher level of productivity and quality. Engages in tasks that require additional training outside of the normal production line duties. Undertakes crucial responsibilities as a key person on production line. Acquires knowledge of Trident's Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions. Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings. This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of $22.56 - $24.00 per hour. Trident Seafoods offers a comprehensive and quality benefits package.
