Job Description
Do you love cats? What about exotic big cats? Then this job is for you! Rare opportunity to work in a cattery that breeds and raises exotic cats here in the TriCities. Job duties include but not limited to: Morning feeding and watering of cats their appropriate diets (some do eat raw meat), helping in the processing of raw meat and adding appropriate supplements, freezing raw meat as needed, thawing raw meat before feeds, daily cleaning of enclosures which includes changing out blankets, emptying cleaning and replacing litter in litter boxes, scrubbing and mopping floors of enclosures (raking outdoor enclosures and maintaining all habitats of the animals. Implementing enrichment activities appropriate to the age and type of cat while also adhering to all safety protocols within the enclosures and inside the cattery. Gain the hands-on experience you need with these animals to help with the care of the animals as well as their mental and emotional well being (yes cats are emotional). Please note that this job will require the signing of an NDA that will include the restriction of all cell phone usage while inside the cattery or around the cats. You will also need to pass a background check in order to obtain this job. References will be checked as well as past employment and personal references. Must be able to provide 3 non family member references. The health and safety of all of our cats is our number one priority. Some of our cats are small (like domestic cat size) and a few are the size of a boxer dog. Being around these animals requires you to be confident in your actions and adhere to strict safety guidelines. Shift will be Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 9 am until finished (around 1 -1:30 ish) Different days require different types of work. All shifts will include feeding, and kennel cleaning and some weeks require an extra shift in order to process food..... Trustworthy, Hardworking, Dependable and Honest People only apply.
