The Job:
First and foremost: we're hiring friendly folks who like to engage with customers. The Kitchen & Market store staff provide support to the store team including: sampling tasty bites, cashiering, customer service, cleaning, and stocking of grocery products. We're looking for a part-time employee to float between our Seattle area stores, but you must be older than 21 years of age. Shifts will vary week to week (note: we release schedules at least 2 weeks in advance). We do provide free ORCA cards for public transit for all employees. This is not a seasonal role. There will be an option to grow into a full-time role with time. Average shift hour totals will vary between 15-25/wk.

These stores are open 7 days a week, 8am-8pm. We are only closed on major holidays.

You must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and stand/walk for 4-8 hours a day.
Work requires the following motions:
bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching. Work requires the ability to use tools and equipment including knives, box cutters, etc. Work may require the use of ladders.

Main job responsibilities:

Providing excellent customer service by addressing customer needs in a prompt, friendly manner.

Ringing up customers at our registers.

Sampling products to customers. (We have delicious cookies!)Understanding the packaging and labeling requirements for all K&M produced items.

Stocking cases and displays with prepared foods and dry goods.

Checking in-stock product dates to ensure freshness.

Assisting with periodic inventory checks.

Maximizing sales by following proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising products.

Performing opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned.
