Yesterday Job Description Transportation (Bus) Aide Bettendorf Community School District Bettendorf Community School District is seeking a dependable and caring Transportation (Bus) Aide to join our transportation team. This position assists in providing a safe and positive transportation experience for students while supporting the bus driver with student needs and supervision.

As Soon As Possible
Schedule:
Approximately 4–5 hours per day
Hourly Rate:
$20.15/hour Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Ability to work effectively with students of varying ages and needs Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent schedule Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow district safety procedures Must successfully complete all required background checks and employment requirements Must be able to provide required I-9 documentation to verify eligibility to work in the United States. Knowledge, Skills & Responsibilities Assist students with safely entering and exiting the school bus Provide supervision and support to students while the bus is in operation Assist students with seat belts, safety equipment, or other transportation needs as necessary Support the bus driver in maintaining a safe and orderly environment Follow student-specific transportation and safety plans as directed Communicate appropriately with transportation staff, school staff, students, and families Respond calmly and appropriately to student needs or emergency situations Maintain confidentiality regarding students and district information Perform other transportation-related duties as assigned Application Procedure Interested candidates should complete an online application through the Bettendorf Community School District employment application system.
