Duties Assist the bus driver in ensuring the safety and well-being of students during transportation. Help students get on and off the bus safely, ensuring they are seated and secured properly. Monitor student behavior and maintain a safe and orderly environment on the bus. Communicate with the bus driver, school staff, and parents regarding any concerns or incidents that may arise during transportation. Follow established procedures for emergency situations, including evacuations and first aid.

Qualifications Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

Previous experience working with students or in a childcare setting is preferred.

Behavior Management:

Ability to effectively manage student behavior and maintain a positive and respectful environment on the bus.

First Aid:

Knowledge of basic first aid procedures and ability to respond to medical emergencies if needed.

Special Education:

Familiarity with special education needs and accommodations for students with disabilities is a plus.

Communication:

Excellent communication skills to interact with students, parents, and school staff effectively.

Physical Stamina:

Ability to assist students with boarding and exiting the bus, which may require bending, lifting, and walking.
