Holiday and snow days paid ! Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and attentive Bus Monitor to ensure the safety, supervision, and well-being of members during transportation. In this vital role, you will work closely with bus drivers, students, and BGCGS/School staff to create a secure and positive environment on the bus. Your proactive approach will help foster safe travel experiences for all members. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in club member's daily lives while promoting safety and discipline during transit. Responsibilities Supervise members during bus transportation, ensuring they follow safety rules and behave appropriately. Take Daily Attendance Enforce club, school policies and transportation safety regulations consistently to maintain order on the bus. Communicate effectively with members, club , and school staff regarding behavior or concerns. Support conflict management and behavior management strategies for students exhibiting challenging behaviors. Conduct safety checks before departure and after arrival, including evacuation procedures if necessary. \ Requirements Prior experience working with children is encouragd Knowledge of school policies, transportation safety regulations, and evacuation procedures. Certification in first aid and CPR is highly preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held. Strong communication skills for effective club staff communication and member supervision. Ability to manage conflicts calmly and professionally while maintaining a positive environment. Experience supporting children with behavioral challenges is advantageous. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information responsibly and adhere to school policies at all times.
