The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, possess strong communication skills, and be able to manage behavior effectively. This role is crucial in creating a positive and secure environment for students while they are on the bus. Responsibilities Supervise students during their bus rides, ensuring their safety and adherence to rules. Assist students in boarding and disembarking from the bus, providing support as needed. Monitor student behavior and implement appropriate behavior strategies. Address conflicts among students in a calm and constructive manner. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding any issues or concerns. Provide first aid assistance when necessary and respond to emergencies appropriately. Collaborate with special education staff to support students with diverse needs. Maintain a positive atmosphere on the bus that encourages respect and cooperation among students. Qualifications Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with students and staff. Knowledge of first aid procedures; certification is a plus. Background in special education or experience working with students with disabilities is highly desirable. Ability to manage conflicts and demonstrate effective behavior management techniques. Classroom experience or teaching background is beneficial for understanding student dynamics. A passion for fostering a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for all students.
