We're seeking a compassionate, organized, and community-minded Bus Monitor to join our private K-8 and preschool bus program. This part-time position blends hands-on childcare supervision with light administrative support to help maintain a safe, reliable, and welcoming transportation experience for families. Morning Shift :

Arrive at the Huntington Woods location at 7:15 AM Bus departs promptly at 7:30 AM , returning to HW approx. 8:45

AM Afternoon Shift :

Arrive at the Huntington Woods location at 2:45 PM Pickup begins at the school around 3:15 PM Bus departs school at 3:45 PM and returns to Huntington Woods by approximately 4:15 PM Be picked up and dropped off at the Huntington Woods location (no need to drive yourself) Maintain the daily bus roster , track absences, and ensure all students are accounted for Assist young children with 5-point harnesses/car seats and safe boarding/unboarding Escort preschool (ECC) children to their designated school staff member upon arrival Monitor behavior on the bus and foster a calm, respectful environment Requirements Strong communication skills Warm and professional demeanor with children and adults alike Able to lift and secure children into safety seats as needed Must pass a background check for working with children Availability Monday-Friday during route and admin times Ideal candidate lives in or near Huntington Woods Preferred Qualifications Experience in education , childcare , community organizing , or customer service Comfort navigating family dynamics and fostering community Compensation + How to Apply $18/hour , with approx. 15 hours/week
