Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated team as a Bus Monitor Aide and play a vital role in ensuring the safety, well-being, and positive experience of students during transportation. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will supervise students on school buses, assist with behavior management, and support transportation safety protocols. Your proactive approach will help create a secure environment that promotes respectful conduct and smooth transit for all students, including those with special needs. Duties Supervise students during bus rides, ensuring they follow safety rules and behave appropriately Assist students with disabilities or special education needs, providing necessary support and accommodations Enforce school policies and transportation safety regulations to maintain a secure environment Support behavior management strategies to promote positive conduct and address conflicts effectively Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and school staff regarding student behavior or safety concerns Assist with emergency procedures, including evacuation drills and first aid response when needed Maintain confidentiality of student information and adhere to all school policies and procedures Experience Prior experience working with children or in childcare settings preferred Knowledge of special education practices and behavior management techniques for students with disabilities or behavioral challenges Certification in first aid and CPR required; additional training in conflict management is a plus Familiarity with transportation safety regulations for early childhood education environments Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and school personnel Ability to handle physical disabilities support and assist students as needed Experience in classroom or teaching environments is advantageous but not mandatory Join us to make a meaningful difference in students' lives by ensuring their safety and fostering a positive transportation experience.
