Responsibilities:
Monitor pupils and daily school bus activities to ensure proper student conduct at all times and adherence to safe behavior on the bus. Know and follow assigned bus routes Ensure safe loading and unloading of student on and off the bus Verify student use of seat belts as required and assist with securing or removing seatbelts Correctly operate a wheelchair life and properly secure all types of wheelchair devices Follow manufacturer guidelines for the tie-down of straps and hooks Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with bus drivers, district personnel, students and parents Assist passengers during emergencies requiring evacuation of the bus
