Bus Attendants are responsible for: Checking the daily sheet before leaving the base to make sure you have all of the proper equipment required for the safe transportation of the clients (wheelchair tie downs, harnesses, etc.) Calling clients
BEFORE REACHING THE ASSIGNED PICK UP
to let them know when you will arrive and
ESPECIALLY
when running late. Monitoring clients with special needs ensuring the safe boarding and transportation until they are dropped off at their destination. Securing clients and/or their equipment (e.g. restraints, wheelchair tie downs, seat belts or harnesses) for the purpose of ensuring the safety and well-being of clients during transportation. Checking the bus after every route to ensure all passengers have left the bus. Preparing daily/weekly/monthly reports (e.g. attendance sheets, sweep sheets and incident reports when needed) for the purpose of communicating information to appropriate personnel for their action. Attendants will work Monday through Friday on a regular, consistent basis, regardless of the weather; Rain, Sleet, Snow, Cold or Heat.
ATTENDANTS WORK 30 HOURS PER WEEK
Attendants start between 6:45 and 7:00AM every Morning and between 2:00 & 2:30PM for the afternoon shift.
YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE FOR BOTH SHIFTS.
