In this vital role, you will be responsible for providing safe, reliable, and supportive transportation services tailored to individuals with behavioral and mobility needs. Your expertise will ensure that clients experience comfortable, respectful, and secure journeys. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact by facilitating positive transportation experiences for diverse populations, including those requiring specialized support. Responsibilities Monitor participants while their being transported to their assigned program. Assist clients with boarding, disembarking, and securement of mobility aids or personal belongings while maintaining a focus on safety and comfort. Communicate effectively with clients to provide exceptional customer service, address concerns, and ensure a positive experience throughout the journey. Follow all state transportation regulations, including those related to paratransit, school bus driving, and commercial driving standards. Conduct routine vehicle maintenance checks such as fluid levels, tire pressure, and safety equipment to uphold vehicle safety standards. Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting when assisting clients or loading equipment safely into vehicles. Adhere strictly to traffic laws and company policies to promote safe driving practices at all times. Maintain detailed logs of trips, client interactions, vehicle inspections, and incident reports as required. Foster a supportive environment by managing behavioral challenges with patience and professionalism during transit. Experience Prior experience working with youth with behavioral challenges. Proven background in bus driving or shuttle driving within a commercial or community setting. Experience in medical transportation or paratransit services demonstrating familiarity with client needs and safety protocols. Knowledge of local driving routes combined with GPS navigation proficiency for efficient route planning. Strong understanding and skills for engaging with clients of diverse backgrounds while providing outstanding customer service. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when loading or unloading equipment or assisting clients with mobility issues. Join us in delivering dependable transportation solutions that enrich lives!
