Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and attentive Bus Monitor to join our team! In this vital role, you will supervise students during their transportation to and from school or events, ensuring their safety, well-being, and adherence to all safety regulations. Your positive attitude and proactive approach will help create a secure environment for all passengers while maintaining compliance with school policies and transportation standards. Duties Supervise students on buses during transit, ensuring proper behavior and safety. Assist students with boarding, seating arrangements, and disembarking at designated stops. Enforce school policies, rules, and procedures related to student conduct and transportation safety. Support students with special needs or physical disabilities by providing appropriate assistance. Communicate effectively with drivers, school staff, parents, and emergency personnel as needed. Respond promptly to behavioral issues or conflicts using conflict management and behavior management techniques. Conduct routine safety checks on the bus before departure and report any maintenance or safety concerns. Skills Experience working with children, including those with disabilities or special education needs. Strong conflict management and behavior management skills for students with diverse needs. Familiarity with school policies, evacuation procedures, and transportation safety regulations. Excellent communication skills for parent contact and team coordination. Ability to handle confidential information discreetly. Physical ability to assist students with mobility challenges or physical disabilities.
