Job Description
Bus Yard & Office Support Lamers Bus Lines is looking to hire a person for Bus Yard & Office Support who loves variety and jumps in wherever they're needed. This isn't a desk job or a one-lane role — one day you might be reviewing bus camera footage, the next you're plowing the lot or helping review a school bus route. If you like a job that never looks the same two days in a row, this is it. What You'll Do Routing & Dispatch Support Assist with routing using Versatrans, including info lookups and updates Check roads and routes for hazards, closures, or detours; keep maps and notifications current Help manage the terminal calendar Safety & Camera Review Review bus camera footage as needed Review and document student safety and behavioral write-ups when drivers, schools, or parents report an issue on the bus Support OSHA compliance efforts, including fire extinguisher checks Building & Grounds Handle building and grounds maintenance, including plowing, shoveling, and mowing Keep bus stalls labeled and mapped Office Support Enter student information into the computer system Answer phones and communicate with drivers throughout the day Driving Drive a school bus as needed to help cover routes Who We're Looking For Someone who likes a mix of tasks and doesn't mind switching gears quickly Comfortable both in an office setting and doing hands-on outdoor/maintenance work Reliable, detail-oriented, and quick to help out wherever needed CDL Required or willingness to obtain one (Lamers provides in-house training) Why Lamers Lamers Bus Lines has been a family-owned, community-focused transportation company since 1944.
