Kennel Assistant - Doggy Day Camp (Camp May) May Veterinary Northridge, 6030 Watermelon Rd, Northport, AL 35473 Join Our Team at Camp May! May Veterinary Northridge has been providing compassionate veterinary care for over 60 years, and we're proud to extend that same care to our canine guests through Camp May, our fun and engaging doggy day camp program. We are seeking a Kennel Assistant to join our team and help us provide safe, enriching experiences for pets while supporting our hospital operations. About the
Role:
As a Kennel Assistant for Camp May, you will: Care for and play with a large number of dogs in group settings, monitoring play behavior to ensure safety and fun Clean, disinfect, and sanitize kennels, play yards, animal rooms, and hospital areas Feed and water boarding and hospitalized pets on schedule Administer medications to boarding and hospitalized animals (as directed) Safely control and restrain animals when needed Bathe and trim nails for pets as requested by owners Exercise dogs and monitor safe group play in our outdoor camp area (note: Camp May is on a hill, so this is an active, physical role) Transfer animals between facilities when neededWhat We're Looking For:
Previous experience working with animals is strongly preferred Comfort and confidence around dogs of all sizes, with a solid understanding of animal behavior Reliability and compassion for both pets and their owners Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environmentPay & Schedule:
Part-time opportunities available $10-$14/hour (based on experience) Must be available 2-3 days per week, 7:00 am-5:30 pm, 7:00 am-12:00 pm, or 12:00 pm-5:30 pm Every other weekend availability required Why Join May Veterinary Northridge?
