Rosemead Healthcare Center is a 24-hour rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility conveniently located in the beautiful San Gabriel Valley. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activities Assistants to join our team!

Responsibilities:

As an Activities Assistant, you will plan and facilitate social and recreational events, working with small and large groups of residents. You will assist in evaluating each resident's background, interests, abilities, physical limitations, and needs to develop and plan a meaningful program to improve and enhance each resident's quality of life.

Your responsibilities will also include:

Developing and maintaining records of resident participation and response to the program Maintaining a current list of residents who are unable or unwilling to participate in group activities Demonstrating a basic knowledge of the nature and etiology of disabilities and illnesses of the residents Assisting in developing and posting a monthly activities calendar Maintaining progress notes and quarterly reviews of progress towards goals Coordinating and facilitating resident council meetings Performing other duties as requested

Requirements:

Prior experience as a CNA Active CNA certificate in California Must be available to work weekends High school diploma Strong communication skills, both oral and written Knowledge and awareness of the care needs of the elderly and/or chronically ill Basic computer skills
