Position Type:
Seasonal Part-Time Casual; mornings, afternoons, and evenings
Scheduling:
This is a Part-time (0-20 hours) casual/on-call seasonal position. Hours are based on guest and group bookings and are typically scheduled several days in advance. This is not a traditional day-of on-call position.
Compensation:
$16.90 - $17.25 based on experience Lead the
Adventure:
Guide students through outdoor recreation and experiential learning activities, including canoeing, archery, ropes courses, team-building challenges, stargazing, night walks, and campfires—all while building confidence, leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate outdoor adventures such as: Canoeing Archery Ropes courses (high/low) Team-building games Guide students through leadership and personal development challenges. Encourage teamwork, confidence, and communication skills.
Lead evening programs like:
Stargazing Night walks Campfires Ensure proper safety procedures and equipment use. Adapt activities based on group dynamics, weather, and ability levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
Background in recreation , physical education , youth development , or experiential learning . Certifications in ropes course facilitation, archery, or canoeing (or willingness to be trained on the job). 1+ years experience leading youth in physical or adventure-based settings. CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain). Comfortable with risk management and outdoor leadership.
Requirements :
Passion for working with youth in outdoor environments. Strong communication and group management skills. Positive, flexible, and team-oriented mindset. Ability to work flexible hours Ability to work weekends Physically able to participate in outdoor activities for extended periods.
