Position Summary:
Assist the Activities Supervisor/Manager in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operations of the Activities Department. To assure that an ongoing program of activities is designed to meet, in accordance with the comprehensive assessment, the interests and physical, mental, and psychological well-being of each resident.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent Must be 18 years or older for position in ResCare Preferably 1 year of experience in an activities capacity in a skilled nursing care facility or other medical related facility preferred. Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of the facility. Ability to multi-task and treat everyone at work kindly and professionally Outstanding written, verbal, organizational and time management skills Proven customer service or other professional/emotional maturity training or experience Works collaboratively and independently, following procedures and guidelines
Responsibilities:
Assists in effectively planning and conducting resident specific and appropriate activities. Maintains activities calendar as required by Supervisor Effectively promotes resident participation in activities Arranges and transports patients to and from activities Assumes responsibility in absence of Activities Supervisor/Manager Provides timely and accurate resident assessments and progress notes as assigned Work in conjunction with all departments and staff to promote the best possible care

$19.00 - $21.00 / hour
