Job Description

Overview The Fitness Center Supervisor will direct and oversee all areas pertaining to the fitness area including guest service, staff supervision, Spa, Member programs, administration and budget control. Participate in the "Manager on Duty" program as scheduled and in the absence of other Spa & Fitness Center Leaders. Responsibilities Manages all areas of the Fitness division including activities, class instructors, and personal trainers. Oversees all spa fitness facilities and equipment. Oversee all administration and operational functions. Supportive leadership and effective coaching that facilitates continuous learning and skill development of team members. Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of fitness facilities. Oversee inventory control of fitness facilities. Maintain a competent and motivated team via selection criteria and creating a learning environment. Demonstrates respect, sensitivity, and concern for guests' needs in a professional manner. Maintains and monitors work schedules for direct report team members and assist with overall team member daily schedules. Assist Spa Operations, Salon and Spa when needed. Perform any task deemed necessary by management. Performs other job-related duties as directed.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
Maintain the company image and vision statement. Make optimal use of financial resources. Participate in ongoing training and encourage the personal development of all associates. To provide an exceptional guest experience. Qualifications Must be capable of prolonged stooping, bending, and standing. Must be able to lift and carry 30 pounds. Must be capable of organizing and scheduling personnel and tasks. Knowledge of Resort and competitive market. Ability to multi-task between guest requests, operational issues, and team member needs. Ability to remain calm and pleasant under stressful situations. Basic computer skills required.
Experience, Education, & Licensure:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred. A minimum of 2 years experience in Supervisory Fitness capacity required. Hotel/Resort experience preferred. CPR certification. Certification from
ACE, AFFA, ACSM, NASM, ISSA
certification.
Compensation:
Base Pay Start Rate:
$26.66/Hr.
