We're excited to welcome new tutors for this school year. Our tutoring center is designed to be comfortable and relaxed , giving students individual attention in a supportive, engaging environment. Students for this service range from middle school to high school college, and we cover all academic subjects as well. We are currently seeking tutors with strong skills in math at all levels (algebra, geometry, algebra II, calculus, Statistics etc.). A background in science (biology, chemistry, or physics) is a major bonus and will be highly valued. We are also looking for tutors: Elementary Reading/Writing Specialist AP World History/AP Euro Multiple subjects tutors (with math abilities) ExecutiveFunctioning Coaches Why This Role is Great This position is ideal for: Recent college graduates who want to explore the education field Those who enjoy working with kids during after-school hours and want to make additional income Individuals with a primary career who want flexible, meaningful part-time work Retirees who enjoy working with students and want something engaging and rewarding to do Our tutors generally live nearby , as hours can vary between 2- 4 hrs per day. I t takes time for hours to get regular as you get established. What We Offer A fun, light-hearted, and open work environment with a professional standard A flexible schedule during after-school hours Competitive pay $22.00 - $26.00/hour Expected 2-16 hours per week. The amount your work depends on the demand for your services Responsibilities Provide engaging, individualized tutoring in math (and science, if applicable) Adapt lessons to meet different learning styles and student goals Build strong relationships with students and families Support students in academic growth and test preparation Qualifications Enthusiastic and positive attitude Outgoing personality with strong communication skills Organizational and academic strengths Emotional intelligence and patience with students Well-versed in at least two academic subjects up to college level Prior tutoring experience preferred, but not required Requirements Available at least one consistent weekday (Mon-Thurs) until 8pm Comfortable tutoring math (most of our students need at least some math support) High demand subjects: advanced mathematics, biology, and chemistry work in person
