Role:
As an Activities Assistant , you will utilize your excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with our residents and their families. You will use your creativity and organizational skills to plan and implement engaging activities that promote physical and emotional well-being. Your ability to work independently and as part of a team will be crucial in ensuring the success of our activities program. Additionally, your knowledge of therapeutic recreation principles and practices will be beneficial in enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Experience working with seniors or in a healthcare setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in planning and implementing activities for seniors Knowledge of therapeutic recreation principles and practices
Responsibilities:
Plan and implement daily activities for residents that promote physical and emotional well-being Assist in the coordination of special events and outings Maintain accurate records of resident participation and progress Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure resident safety and satisfaction Maintain a clean and organized activity area
