Site Creative Captain, Lead Support, Program Manager Position Type Part-Time (School Year & Intersession Opportunities) Position Summary The Creative Crew Support is responsible for providing direct supervision, enrichment, and support to students participating in the Creative ArtReach Expanded Learning Program. Working as part of a collaborative team, Creative Crew Support staff help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where students can learn, grow, build friendships, and explore their creativity through hands-on activities. Creative Crew Support staff lead small groups, facilitate enrichment activities, supervise students throughout the program, and serve as positive role models who foster creativity, kindness, respect, and personal growth. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about working with children and making a meaningful impact in their community. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesStudent Supervision Provide active supervision of assigned students at all times. Maintain required staff-to-student ratios. Assist with student attendance and head counts throughout the day. Supervise students during indoor and outdoor activities, transitions, meals, and dismissal. Ensure students are released only to authorized individuals following program procedures. Promote a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all students. Enrichment & Activities Lead and assist with age-appropriate enrichment activities including visual arts, theatre, STEM, literacy, games, fitness, music, and hands-on learning experiences. Encourage creativity, curiosity, collaboration, and student participation. Adapt activities to meet the interests and developmental needs of students. Support homework or academic enrichment opportunities when applicable. Help prepare materials and clean up activity spaces. Behavior Support Implement Creative ArtReach's Positive Behavior Support system. Reinforce program expectations consistently and respectfully. Redirect inappropriate behaviors using positive intervention strategies. Encourage problem-solving, teamwork, and respectful communication. Report significant behavior concerns to the Site Creative Captain or Lead Support. Assist with documenting incidents when necessary. Health & Safety Follow all Creative ArtReach safety policies and procedures. Monitor student well-being throughout the program. Immediately report illnesses, injuries, or safety concerns. Participate in emergency drills and emergency response procedures. Help maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment. Team Collaboration Work collaboratively with Site Creative Captains, Lead Supports, Teaching Artists, and fellow Creative Crew members. Assist with daily setup and cleanup. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development. Support fellow staff members as needed to ensure smooth program operations. Communicate concerns, successes, and student needs with leadership. Family Engagement Greet families professionally during arrival and dismissal. Assist with student sign-out procedures. Verify authorized adults and identification when required. Communicate routine information courteously and professionally. Refer confidential or sensitive matters to site leadership. Minimum Qualifications Minimum 18 years of age. High school diploma or GED. Must meet one of the following educational requirements: Completion of 48 semester college units (or equivalent quarter units) from an accredited college or university; OR Possession of a valid Paraprofessional/Paraeducator Certificate that meets California school district requirements. Experience working with children in an educational, recreational, childcare, or youth development setting preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. CPR/First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire). Mandated Reporter Training (or ability to complete upon hire). DOJ/FBI Fingerprint Clearance. TB Clearance. Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree or coursework in Education, Child Development, Recreation, Theatre, Psychology, or a related field. Experience working in after-school, expanded learning, ELO-P, or ASES programs. Experience leading enrichment or recreational activities. Knowledge of child development and positive behavior support strategies. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Lift and carry up to 40 pounds. Bend, kneel, squat, and participate in active games and recreational activities. Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Respond quickly during emergencies and actively supervise students throughout the campus. Work Environment Creative Crew Support staff work in elementary school environments, including classrooms, playgrounds, multipurpose rooms, cafeterias, and outdoor recreation areas. The position requires flexibility, enthusiasm, and the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment focused on student engagement and safety. Pay:

$21.00 - $23.00 per hour
