In this role, you will be the heartbeat of engaging, meaningful activities that enhance residents' quality of life. Your enthusiasm and creativity will foster a warm, welcoming environment where seniors feel valued, connected, and inspired. Duties Plan, coordinate, and facilitate a variety of recreational activities tailored to residents' interests and abilities, Develop engaging event calendars that promote socialization, physical activity, cognitive stimulation, and emotional well-being Assist with daily resident activities and ensure smooth execution of scheduled programs Build strong rapport with residents through attentive communication, understanding individual needs, and fostering a sense of community Collaborate with care teams to integrate therapeutic activities that support seniors' health and wellness goals Manage activity supplies, equipment, and space logistics to ensure safe and enjoyable experiences Maintain detailed records of resident participation, feedback, and progress to inform ongoing program improvements Qualifications Proven experience in event planning or recreational therapy within assisted living, home settings Prior experience working with seniors, including those with Alzheimer's disease or other memory impairments Knowledge of geriatrics, dementia care, and aging issues counseling is highly desirable Strong communication skills for effective resident interaction and team collaboration Proficiency in Microsoft Office for documentation and scheduling purposes Ability to coordinate resident events while managing schedules efficiently Compassionate caregiving attitude with experience assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as mobility or personal care tasks Demonstrated ability to build rapport with residents and foster a positive community atmosphere Join us in creating vibrant days filled with joy, connection, and purpose!
